The ILEX Medtechnica group has entered into a strategic partnership with the Research and Medical Services Fund at Sheba Medical Center

The ILEX Medtechnica group is pleased to announce its decision to fulfill its vision of innovation by entering a strategic partnership with the Research and Medical Services Fund at Sheba Medical Center, which manages the ARC Innovation Center. ILX will invest $10 million in establishing an accelerator for early-stage startup companies specializing in groundbreaking medical technologies.

This investment is part of the group’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Israel, especially during this challenging time for the Israeli high-tech sector due to the ongoing conflict. This partnership enables us to realize the company’s vision, contribute to medical and technological advancements in healthcare, promote the development of advanced technologies, and improve medical services for the public both in Israel and globally.

The accelerator program is designed for early-stage med-tech startups and includes financial support of $250,000 per company, alongside a comprehensive support framework. This framework will leverage Sheba’s existing infrastructure and resources to advance and develop these companies. ARC, the innovation arm of Sheba Medical Center, will provide the companies with access to data, expert advice, mentoring, and guidance. Furthermore, the accelerator will significantly enhance these companies’ access to global markets through ARC’s extensive network of international partners.

Choosing to invest now, and specifically in Israel, is partly a response to the decline in the number of startups being founded locally due to challenges faced in the early stages. This investment addresses the need to support more companies at their inception, serving as an important step towards the recovery and growth of the Israeli economy.
